Amazon Call Center Area Manager Job Responsibilities

  • People Management (Lead & Motivate Your Team):
    • Lead and manage a team of 10-20 Call Center Associates.
    • Provide direction, coaching, and development to Team Leads.
    • Set clear performance expectations and hold your team accountable for achieving results.
    • Conduct performance reviews and implement action plans for improvement.
    • Build strong working relationships and a positive team culture.
  • Operations Management (Ensure Efficiency & Quality):
    • Manage call center workflow, effectively delegate tasks, and handle escalations.
    • Analyze data and metrics to identify areas for improvement.
    • Proactively address issues and implement solutions to maintain high service levels.
    • Ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
    • Develop and achieve performance goals to meet customer support expectations.

Amazon Call Center Area Manager Job Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of experience in program/project management, operations, or call center management
  • 2+ years of experience leading teams, preferably in customer service
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, presentation)
  • Strong teamwork abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with change management and a proven ability to implement new processes
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and ambiguous environment
