Cyber Security Engineer Job Responsibilities
Technical Skills:
- Security Expertise: Possess an active TS/SCI clearance with adjudicated CI Poly and a minimum of Security+ certification (CISSP or SSCP preferred).
- IT Architecture: Experience in architecting IT solutions using Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software and hardware systems.
- Networking Knowledge: Familiarity with standard and distributed virtual networking concepts, including firewalls and switches.
- Storage Technologies: Understanding of shared storage technologies like SAN, FC, and NFS.
- Cloud Security: Experience with cloud technologies, particularly AWS.
- Virtualization: Knowledge of VM/virtualization and hyper-converged technologies.
Problem-Solving and Communication:
- Be a self-motivated, fast-paced, and curious individual with strong problem-solving skills.
- Possess excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to collaborate effectively across teams.

Cyber Security Engineer Job Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI clearance with adjudicated CI Poly (required before starting)
- Security+ certification (required)
- CISSP or SSCP certification (preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (preferred)
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and verbal/written communication skills
- Experience with current hardware technologies (VM/virtualization, hyper-converged technologies, cloud technologies like AWS)
- Experience architecting IT solutions using COTS software and hardware systems
- Experience with shared storage technologies such as SAN, FC, and NFS.
- Experience with standard and distributed virtual networking (firewalls, switches)
- Experience with Cross Domain Solutions
- Familiarity with Cybersecurity concepts and solutions
