Educational Assistant Job Responsibilities:
- Instructional Support:
- Work with small groups to reinforce literacy and math skills.
- Assist with administering or preparing for tests.
- Create engaging instructional materials (posters, charts, etc.).
- Classroom Management:
- Grade non-subjective papers.
- Monitor student behavior in the classroom and other areas of the school (lunch, recess, playground).
- Provide active supervision during playtime.
- Other Duties:
- Perform clerical tasks (data entry, filing, typing).
- Plan and participate in field trips.
- Attend monthly meetings.
- Substitute for the assigned class (if certified).
Educational Assistant Job Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Prior experience in a school setting is preferred.
- Substitute teaching license is a plus (but not required).
