Process Assistant Job at Amazon Key Responsibilities:
- Support daily operations in the fulfillment center
- Assist with department management tasks such as allocating labor, leading meetings, assigning duties, and communicating with suppliers
- Provide vacation coverage for Area Managers
- Track attendance and labor hours
- Train associates and ensure they follow standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Monitor area performance and provide feedback to associates
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Perform production duties as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Coach associates on safety procedures
- Report any injuries to the Area Manager
Process Assistant Job at Amazon Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience using Microsoft Office products
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays
- Ability to lift up to 49 lbs, stand/walk for 12-hour shifts, and perform physical tasks like pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching
- Must be 18 years of age or older
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education beyond high school and/or experience managing employees
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
- Experience with Kaizen or Shingi events (continuous improvement methodologies)
